We understand service outages or breakage are pretty common. But when an outage ends up concerning a massive user base, it becomes worth highlighting. Something similar is happening with Grab app as of writing this.

For past some time, a proliferation of reports saying Grab app is down and one isn’t aren’t able to login are populating the online discussion platform Twitter. Take a look at what some of the complainants have to say:

Hey @GrabVN… Had to reinstall your app, now I can’t log in because the app doesn’t recognise the code you sent me. What’s going on?

While reports continue to snowball, what’s good is that Grab app, through their different region specific handles has acknowledged the issue. Here’s what they have to say:

Hi, sorry to inform you that the server down just now was not scheduled and expected from our end. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. The app should be working fine now.

Grab’s system is currently experiencing a few interruptions, which could result in the impact of your Grab app when using the service. Currently, the technical department has acknowledged the error arising and is actively f…

Worry not, we’re keeping a close watch on the service providers social media channels for more information on what could be causing this problem. We’ll share with you the relevant developments as and when we bump into any. So keep a tab of this space for the latest info on the matter.

The glitch has been sorted.

I am glad to inform that the app is back up.
