OPPO has a lot of smartphones in its portfolio. The company offers devices that range from budget to mid-range to flagships and even gaming devices. 

Moreover, OPPO has been able to grab the slice of the piece of the pie, in this competitive smartphone market. But, when it comes to the speedy delivery of updates, the company does not hold a special place in the smartphone ecosystem.

Besides, we have reported previously that up till now, only the Reno series smartphones are slated to receive the Android 10 update. Seems like the brand needs to pull up its sleeve it wants to compete in today’s smartphone world.

But, in a recent development, OPPO has rolled out new updates for the A3s and OPPO A37 smartphones. The updates on both devices bring in optimization and enhancement.

Let us take a look at the updates received on the devices one-by-one.

OPPO A3s

For a refresher, the OPPO A3s was launched in 2018 and is powered by the Snapdragon 450 processor. It has 2/3/4GB of RAM and 16/32/64GB of internal storage options.

It packs in a 6.2-inch 720p display with a notch that houses an 8MP camera. At the back, the device sports a dual-camera setup with 13MP+2MP. Under the hood, the device has a battery capacity of 4230 mAh.

Talking about the update, it carries the version number CPH1803EX_11_A.21 and weighs in around 73.7MB in size. It brings in some optimization changes for the device along with some tweaks for RAM management.

OPPO A37

Surprisingly, the OPPO A37 which was launched in 2016 is reportedly an optimization update that brings stability to the current OS. To recall the OPPO A37 was launched in 2016 and is powered by the Snapdragon 410 chipset, paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. 

The device has a battery capacity of 2630 mAh and sports an 8MP rear camera along with a 5MP selfie camera. It has a 5-inch 720p display as well.

Talking about the update, it carries the version number A37fwEX_11_190711 and weighs in around 145MB in size. Make sure that you are using stable mobile data or WiFi connection to download the update.

Both the updates are rolled out via OTA and will take some time in hitting all the devices. However, to check for the update manually, you can head to Settings>>About Phone>>System Updates. If there is a new notification available, tap on it to install the latest updates.
