Needless to say, Samsung is not known for the speedy rollout of the updates. Besides, in the past, it has been one of the OEMs that were trolled severely for lazy update rollouts.

Cut to now, the company is advancing on a different path and is coping up its lost glory in pushing out updates. We have previously reported that a lot of older, as well as newer Samsung devices, are getting either monthly security updates or firmware updates (if available).

Not only this, a quick look at the Samsung Android Update Cycle gives us information related to when and which device will get the updates. A lot of older generation devices that were launched in 2017, have also been included in the list of Samsung’s update cycle.

And taking this new tradition of rolling out updates for older devices, Samsung has pushed out the September 2019 security update for the Galaxy A3 (2017) and the A20s smartphones.

Talking about the specs of Galaxy A3 (2017), it is powered by the Exynos 7870 chipset which is paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It sports a 4.7-inch AMOLED display along with a 2350 mAh battery.

It has a single 13MP camera at the back and a single 8MP shooter on the front. The fingerprint on the device is placed on the front under the home button.  The Galaxy A3 (2017) is slated to receive regular security updates under the Samsung’s update cycle plan.

The update for the Galaxy A3 (2017) is available for users in the EVR (United Kingdom) region. However, it is expected to roll out for other regions as well. The new update carries the version number A320FLXXS4CSI1 and is based on the Android 8.0 Oreo.
