Coming to of the service providers are aware of this glitch, while revering back to a user on Twitter, Freedom support has at least acknowledged the problem. But at the same time they’ve confirmed there’s no ETA for the fix as yet. Here’s what they said:
We don’t have an estimated time as we just recognized this as an issue.
What’s good is that Freedom Mobile is at least looking in to the issue. We’re keeping a continuous tab on this and will update the story as and when any new development comes to our sight. So stay hooked.
Update 1 (Sept 11)
Looks like Freedom is working quickly to resolve the issue, as support is telling users the text messaging service should be restored soon.
Things should be back up and running soon.
Update 2 (October 07)
Freedom Mobile has acknowledged an issue affecting its Voice and Data services. Here’s what the company has said:
We are aware that customers are experiencing interruptions to Voice & Data services. We are working hard to bring service levels back to normal. Our apologies for any inconvenience. We will update as soon as we have more information
