Verizon Moto Z3 August security update rolls out
Motorola shifted its base from being a Google owned company to being taken over by Lenovo. Since then, Motorola has failed to capture its most prized position in the market of being one of the sort after OEM in the mid-range and budget category.
Due to the OEMs lack of innovation and new design elements, Motorola smartphones are now heading towards a downfall – something that Nokia also suffered before being taken over by HMD Global. In fact, it was their innovation and zeal to capture the market that got Nokia afloat among its competitors.
But, when it comes to updating the device’s software or even rolling out the firmware Lenovo is just behind Nokia, which is quite interesting.
However, if you are the owner of the Verizon variant of the Moto Z3 smartphone then, this piece of news might excite you as the company has started to roll out the August Security patch 2019 (not the latest one though) for the Moto Z3 Verizon users based in the U.S.
Though it might be pretty weird to receive the August security patch when we are almost halfway through to September. Moreover, there is no aesthetic or add-on features included with this update (as per the changelog). But, at least this update brings in new improvements in terms of security.
Talking about the details of the new update, it carries the software version PDXS29.84-42-3 and brings in security patch level 1 August 2019. Below is the short and crisp change log for the update:
The current software update gives you the most up to date Android security patches on your device.
For a flashback, the Motorola Moto Z3 is the world’s first phone that can be upgraded to 5G with the help of the 5G-Moto Mod. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor paired with the 4GB of RAM. It houses a 3000 mAh battery with 64GB of internal storage.
It features a 6.01-inch OLED Full HD+ display and dual rear facing camera that sports 12MP + 12MP setup which is capable of recording 4k videos. In the front, you get a single 8MP selfie camera that also features the portrait mode as well.
