Harry Potter has a huge fan base, and almost every millennial is familiar with its magical world. Harry Potter movies and novels became so popular worldwide that it left an everlasting enchanting spell on people’s minds.

Niantic has a habit of tapping into a big franchise and making a worthy game out of it. Niantic released Pokemon Go in 2016, and the game is still making millions of dollars per year.

Their idea of tapping into a franchise with the big community did so well that now they have released the Harry Potter Wizards Unite game which focuses on the magical world of Harry Potter.

The first event for the game ‘Brilliant Event: Flora & Fauna’ went live on July 3, and it brought the new Brilliant foundables to the game.

Niantic has now released a new Brilliant Event Potter’s Calamity, but there is a slight issue with the event. Under ‘Brilliant Event, Potter’s Calamity’ players are required to recover ‘2 Brilliant Hedwig Foundable Fragments’ under section 2 of Potter’s Calamity Week 1 event which will award 300 XP to players.

But Hedwig and Harry Potter encounters are rewarding an incorrect amount of Wizarding XP to players.

The Harry Potter Wizards Unite team has made an official announcement regarding this on Reddit. The official ministry announcement from the HPWU team has been mentioned below.

Hi!

Hedwig and Harry Potter Encounters are giving an incorrect amount of Wizarding XP.

We are going to continue to run the current XP amount until 12pm tomorrow, July 18, Pacific Time. At that time, we will change the Wizarding XP to the correct amounts for both Hedwig and Harry Potter Encounters.

We apologize for this issue and thank you for your patience.
