Last month, the Chinese OEM Oppo revamped their official smartphone Theme Store. The update bumped the app version to 6.1, and added a whole new collection of themes along with a refurbished user interface. Here’s how the official announcement describe the change:

Features for the new version of Theme Store:
1. New themes are only available in the Theme Store. Download to get more gorgeous themes.
2. Official themes are highly compatible with the phone system. Download to have a seamless and smooth experience.
3. Various collections updated every day, such as Neon, Glitter, Colorful, Romance!
4. Better Interface with fashionable and young vibes

Cut to now. Expanding the collection of themes, Oppo Theme Store (v6.1) offers a PUBG Mobile theme as well. The information came a few hours back, from someone from the feedback tracking group at the company’s official help forum, as well as Oppo customer care on Twitter saying:

The first time release, multiple customized styles, providing an immersive experience for game enthusiasts. Upgrade your theme store to V6.1 to get a brand-new vision.

So PUBG lovers can now enjoy a theme based on their favorite game on their Oppo phones.

Not only that, recently, Oppo customer care also informed that Oppo phone users can now expand the battery life of their phones by scheduling power off when the device is not required. All with the Automatic On/Off feature. Here’s how they explain the functionality:

Improve Battery Efficiency ?
Increase the battery life of your smartphone ?
Now, you can schedule the Power on and Power off time while in a Meeting or during Sleep ?

That’s not all.

ColorOS 5.2.1 on Oppo F7

Oppo F7 is the OEM’s last year’s mid-ranger device fueled by Helio P60 chipset. The phone shipped with Android 8.1 (Oreo) layered with ColorOS 5. While device owners are eager to experience Android Pie-based ColorOS 6, a few days back, Oppo pushed the ColorOS 5.2.1 update for the units.

The update weights 250KB+ and bumps the version to CPH1819EX_11_A.32.

While Oppo customer care is informing F7 users on Twitter about ColorOS 5.2.1’s availability, a quick look at the device’s official software update page conveys no such change. Rather, it continues to reflect the April security patch (CPH1819EX_11_A.30) as the last update released for Oppo F7.

So the firmware hasn’t yet been listed on the official site. Apparently, Oppo is waiting for the roll out to complete. Anyway, as for ColorOS 6 on Oppo F7 is concerned, we are keeping a close watch on all developments and will share as and when anything relevant catches out sight.
