[Fixed + Compensation] Epic Seven server down with Stove error: Developer confirms server instability issue

Is Epic Server down for you? Well, if yes, then find solace in the fact that you aren’t alone. A lot of other users are also facing network errors while logging in. Here’s how one of the affected users explained the server problem on Reddit:

Having an issue with the game it keep saying stove error. It worked half an hour ago it doesn’t work now. What are the solutions to that

What’s good is the developer has confirmed the problem, saying they are investigating it.

We are currently investigating the issue and working to resolve it as soon as possible. We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience, and will get back to you via notice as soon as the issue is resolved.Thank you


It is worth mentioning that the maker of the RPG introduced a set of new characters, artifacts and storyline on last Wednesday (July 3). Call it a coincidence, but the game servers were offline then due to a temporary maintenance job announced by the company.

The outage were limited though, and the players were happy receive the new goodies after the short troubleshooting session.

New character after July 3 update

A new side quest came as a part of the new contents. Dubbed as ‘A Piece of the Past’, it should be accessible from 7/3 (Wed) 18:00 ~ 7/18 (Thu) 17:59 (UTC). Do you think it could be the reason behind the extra load on the game servers?

Interested players can select the story after reaching Account Rank 9, then go to the Lobby and tap [Battle] > [Side Story].

The issue has been officially fixed. The game developer has also offered some details on the problem, as well as information on the compensation being offered to players.
