Nokia 1 Android Pie (9.0) arrives; Nokia 5.1 gets June update
HMD Global released the Nokia 5.1 Plus or Nokia X5 last year, which was meant to target the mid-range price segment users. The smartphone base version is powered by MediaTek Helio P60 chipset coupled with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU and 3GB of RAM, which enables it to deliver a decent performance.
The newly purchased Nokia 5.1 Plus comes with Android 8.1 Oreo (Android One) out of the box. Since it is an Android One based device, it means it provides a stock version android experience to users with no bloatware.
The company provided Android Pie update for the device in February with a build no V2.14A. However, the Chinese version of the device received Android update in January with a build no 209B.B06, and it was 2940 MB in size.
The Nokia 5.1 Plus Android Pie update brought a lot of new features to the device, including gesture-based navigation, Digital Wellbeing, Notification improvements, Pro Camera mode and the ability to hide notch.
Nokia 5.1 Plus is reportedly getting a June 2019 Security update. The latest update for Nokia 5.1 Plus has introduced a Google Security patch 2019-06 which means your device will have enhanced security measures.
Nokia 5.1 Plus latest security patch is 64 MB in size, and it also shares an advisory notice for all users who wish to upgrade their device to the latest patch.
