Looks like Sony’s Playstation users are currently facing a major issue. Problems are related to setting up or joining a chat party, with users getting Error NW-31473-8.
Following reports collected from Twitter should give you a better idea about the problem:
I’m having issues with joining party chats or making them any solution for it? I’ve tried resetting my PlayStation and rebooting and it seemed to do nothing.

@AskPlayStation nw-31473-8 keep getting this errorwhen trying join or create a party it was find last Saturday I did all the trouble shooting nothing is working help

Currently, the Japanese company hasn’t said anything through its social media channels. But we’re keeping a constant tab on the matter, and will update the story as and we have more related information.
