These days, we pretty much rely on the anytime accessible banking apps that fit right into our pockets. Don’t we? Considering the massive number of end-users connected with such applications, disruptions also get noted as well as reported immediately.
Something similar is now divulging regarding the BPI mobile app.
Cutting the story short, a huge number of BPI (Bank of Philippines Islands) app users have lately been chiming they can’t surpass the OTP screen while making transactions. The mobile banking app after taking forever to load the OTP screen throws an error. The glitch has basically rendered the transaction service useless.
Take a look at how some of the affected users explain the problem behavior:

Is the problem a know one?
While complaints are escalating, what’s appeasing is that the matter has been officially acknowledged and is being worked. BPI has been informing users through their official Twitter handle (@TalktoBPI) that the concerned team is working on resolving the issue.

As for how long will it take to fix what’s broken, BPI hasn’t shared any specific timeline.
So wait is all the affected users can do. Hope BPI mends whatever is causing the OTP issue and obstructing the app users from making successful transactions. Rest assured, we are keeping a active tab on the matter, and will update the story as and when the problem gets resolved.
In the meantime, app users are suggested to make their transactions through BPI’s website.
Allow us to share that our Electronic Channels including the BPI Mobile App are being upgraded. This has been reported and the concerned unit is already working on it. In the meantime, you may use the website for your transactions. Thank you.
