Update (May 13)

Good news for Hentai Haven lovers. The site – hentaihaven.org – is now up and running.

Update (January 05):

Some more related information:

Original story follows:

Ever since the Hentai Haven website got shut down, something which happened nearly a couple of weeks back, a lot has happened.

The site announced they’re teaming up with Fakku to save the service, another website hentaihaven.me claimed they’re the new Hentai Haven home, and more recently, the official website rubbished these claims by saying hentaihaven.org remains the original Hentai Haven home.

As it stands currently, the official website is still not up, but contains a promise that more updates on this ongoing shut down episode will be provided soon.

But what if HH’s plans to team up with Fakku don’t materialize? Or what if Hentai Haven becomes a paid service? Are potentially unreliable websites like hentaihaven.me the only way out in that case? Well, not quite.

It has now come to light that a lot of Hentai Haven videos have been uploaded to a Google Drive account. The folder Hentai Haven you see in screenshots below was created on December 23, a few days after the official website was closed.

It’s worth mentioning that what you see on this Google Drive account is not the entire archive. Our investigation revealed some folders are empty.

Even the Twitter user corrected their initial claim in a follow up tweet.

While this Google Drive collection is in no way a replacement for the official Hentai Haven website, something is better than nothing (as they say). Let us know your thoughts on this collection in the comments section below.

NOTE: We are not endorsing this collection in anyway and take no responsibility if the content in this Drive account causes any harm to your PC/mobile device. We’re also not sure about how legal it is to access these videos.

PiunikaWeb is a unique initiative that mainly focuses on investigative journalism. This means we do a lot of hard work to come up with news stories that are either ‘exclusive,’ ‘breaking,’ or ‘curated’ in nature. Perhaps that’s the reason our work has been picked by the likes of Forbes, Foxnews, Gizmodo, TechCrunch, Engadget, The Verge, Macrumors, and more. Do take a tour of our website to get a feel of our work. And if you like what we do, stay connected with us on Twitter (@PiunikaWeb) and other social media channels to receive timely updates on stories we publish.
