Facebook notifications not working for iPhone users
Are you observing something unusual with Facebook notifications on your iPhone or iOS device? If yes, then find solace in the fact that you aren’t alone.
We are seeing an increasing number of reports from iPhone users that say the Facebook app doesn’t load notifications.
Following are some tweets that should give a better idea about the problem:

Any iphone users having trouble receiving Facebook notifications? My settings are to receive notifications and the app is showing that I had 21 notifications but when i click on the bell, they won't load. I tried deleting and re-installing the app but no joy.

Anyone else’s Facebook not showing notifications? I even deleted & redownloaded🤷♀️

Facebook keeps telling me I have 20 notifications and I don’t. And I hate the red bubble telling you that you have notifications.

Does anyone else’s Facebook app tell you you have notifications but won’t actually show you even if you refresh it?? 🤷♀️

Currently, the issue seems limited to iOS users, as we couldn’t find any similar complaint from Android users.
There’s also no clarity as to how widespread the problem is.
Rest assured, we are keeping a check, and will update this story as and when we come across any news worthy development.
Meanwhile, do let us know your experience with the Facebook app, including whether or not you are facing this issue.
