The concerned Google employee (Andy B) recently stated that

The team has updated results to include all 7 members and are now working to ensure all pictures display properly

We can also confirm what Andy said, as now Suga’s name can be seen on searching for BTS members.

Original story below:

As some of you may already know, BTS – also known as Bangtan Boys or Beyond The Scene – is a popular South Korean music boy band. Formed back in 2013, the group consists of seven members, but curiously, only names of six group members pop-up when you search for them on Google.

Someone – likely a fan of the group – took to the official Google Search and Assistant help forum to bring the issue to the company’s attention, stressing that BTS is not a six, but a seven member group. They also noted that Min Yoongj aka Suga is the crew member missing from the search results.

We did a quick search for the band’s members, and indeed, Google only shows the following six names: RM, Jimin, Jin, V, Jungkook, and J-Hope. As noted by the complainant, Min Yoongj aka Suga is no where to be seen.

Could be because of the band’s popularity (or whatever other reason), the query got addressed right away. Google employee Andy B (who is also the Community Manager at Google Search and Assistant Help Forum) acknowledged the problem, and said that the matter is being looked into.

Here’s what Andy’s recent post said:

The information has been passed along to the appropriate teams, who are currently looking into it

We hope Google quickly adds up the missing band member in search results, for their fans not to miss out on any of them.
