Gear S Plugin goes out of order, keeps crashing the phone

As put forth by many Samsung gear users, a recent update appears to have broken (if not triggered) Gear S Plugin’s functionality. A notification stating ‘Gear S Plugin has stopped‘ or ‘Gear S Plugin keeps stopping‘ shows up randomly.

What’s being put across by gear users is that the notification (similar to the one shown above) first shows up on phone, further freezing the device, and even crashing it in some cases.

Apart from the official Samsung Community, a good chunk on complaints can be seen complaining in Gear S Plugin’s reviews section on Google Play. While some of the affected users report connection issue

crashes are what others get to see.

Though not much has been said officially, looking at the increasing numbers of complains, Gear S Plugin indeed appears troubled. We are hoping for the company to at least consider the problem worth a watch and address the affected gears users. In case, the aforementioned behavior is what you also get to see, we suggest you to keep a tab here for further developments, if any , as we are keeping a close watch on the matter in question.
