Samsung has various ways it promotes its most-prized smartphones to spur sales. Last year, Galaxy S10 buyers got a Fortnite iKONIK skin to go with and even though it had a share of its own issues, it was a welcome gesture from the company.

This year, it seems the Korean company has similar plans with respect to the Samsung Galaxy S11, a device that will allegedly debut as the Samsung Galaxy S20 next month.

If the latest development is anything to be trusted, it looks like Fortnite 11.40 players may have gotten an early look at the first exclusive skin of the year dubbed Iris. Apparently, this skin will be bundled with the upcoming Galaxy S20.

So far, images of the alleged skin have been spotted online ahead of the Galaxy S20 launch event. Although there is no way to verify the existence of this skin, Samsung Netherlands has come out to publicly comment on the rumor, adding more weight to the ongoing speculations.

I’ve just checked and at the moment, we don’t have any information about this skin, which looks good by the way. ? I suggest to watch the Galaxy Unpacked live stream on Tuesday, February 11. Perhaps we will announce something about a new skin, who knows..

Interestingly, Samsung doesn’t deny nor agree with the ongoing rumors, which should make it an intriguing two or so weeks to come.

The main reasons why Fortnite players think Iris is an exclusive skin is that it lacks the usual ‘FeaturedItems’ tags or any other codes to suggest its an Item Shop, it matches the K-POP skin which became IKONIK, and of course, the comment by Samsung Netherlands.

As of now, though, there is no way to verify this, but the fact that Epic has in the past partnered with Samsung is yet another strong indicator that we can’t rule anything out at the moment. We should find out in a couple or so weeks.
