The latest OxygenOS 5.1.8 update brought along serious battery drainage issue on OnePlus’ newest flagship device, leaving the installers of the update complaining. While there’s no news as to how long will the company take to fix up the mess, we have come across certain steps that might fix the battery issue on your OnePlus 6 unit.

Give it a try

  • Download using your phone the OOS 5.1.8 update file from the official OnePlus website.
  • Now move the downloaded file from the Downloads folder (in File Manager) to Storage>Internal Storage directory.
