Original story follows:

The OnePlus 6 has started getting a new update in China, where it runs HydrogenOS. The update bumps the HydrogenOS version to 5.1.6 and includes a bunch of new features, including a percentage icon for battery capacity, portrait mode for front camera, as well as some gaming-related optimizations.

The news comes courtesy of a user on official OnePlus forums. Here’s their exact message:

good news! Hydrogen operating system has been updated. Battery percentage,
Front camera portrait mode, Game optimization. Oxygen operating system should also be coming soon?

Following is the screenshot of the update change-log they shared:

As the update details are in Chinese, it’s difficult to say what other changes the update includes. However, it’s reasonable to assume most of what OnePlus recently committed to should be there.

Finally, as the user points out in their post, we also expect the OxygenOS update – containing a similar set of changes – to begin rolling out soon.
