YouTube confirms declining views and Creator Studio iOS app issues
Good news for YouTube users who have been facing issues related to decreasing view count, inability to save monetization settings (in Creator Studio iOS app), and missing archived live stream – Google is aware of all three problems as well as working to resolve them.
Shrinking view count
Over past couple of weeks, YouTubers have encountered dropping view count (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) on their videos, and have been routing to the company’s official help forum to bring the matter to light. The complaints aren’t limited to the help forum only. Here’s a glimpse of some recent tweets from the never ending trail of complaints on Twitter:
Can we have another mass streaming on youtube?
because the views slowed down big time and sometimes the views were decreasing‼️

The proliferating reports caught YouTube’s sight, and Google employee Marissa acknowledged the glitch on one of the relevant threads discussing the matter in question, saying:
Thanks for letting us know! We’re aware and looking into the issue related to views dropping over the past few days
Monetization settings problem in Creator Studio (iOS)
Though the aforementioned problem is not very widely reported, YouTube has officially acknowledged the issue both on the company’s official help forum as well as on Twitter, saying:
Thanks for letting us know! We are aware and working on a fix. While we’re working on it, you can change monetize settings for videos via desktop instead – YouTube help forum
We really do appreciate your report–feedback helps us diagnose & track issues. We're currently working to fix this and in the meantime, you can save monetization settings on desktop. Thanks again for letting us know, you can check this page for updates: https://t.co/Hzo0osADW1.

My complaint regarding the YouTube Creator Studio IOS App not saving monetization settings in the new IOS update was finally addressed, as you can see below.

The same has been updated on the company’s official support page, which states the problem is expected to get fixed in the coming week.
Meanwhile, users are suggested to change monetization settings through desktop instead.
Missing archived live streams
Another issue which YouTube has been working on is archived live streams not showing up. Here’s what the company had earlier said in this regard:
We’re looking into a few cases where mobile live streams appear deleted if metadata (title, description, tags) or change privacy setting (public, unlisted) is edited while processing. It shows: “the video has been removed by the user”.
For any new folks on this thread, please include video IDs if you have them and if you were using mobile Android or iOS.
This morning they further added that:
We’re working to restore any deleted videos related to this issue
Google was really quick in acknowledging all these issues. We hope they fix them with the same speed as well. Rest assured, we’ll update as and when any further development takes place.
