As you might already know, Huawei sub-brand Honor has already confirmed EMUI 8.0-based Oreo update for its Honor 9i and Honor 7x smartphones. While for the former, the company didn’t reveal any roll out time frame, it did say Oreo for Honor 7x will be coming in Q2 this year.
Well, now we have some more information on this front. Starting with the Honor 9i, the company has confirmed that the Oreo update for the device is coming soon. An Honor team member offered this confirmation on the company’s official forums.
Sadly, an exact time frame wasn’t revealed, but still it’s good to know the update is coming soon. Moving on to the Honor 7x Oreo update, the company has confirmed that the roll out will begin in the month of April.
EMUI 8.0 on Honor 7X is being tested and developed, and is expected to be pushed to users from April 2018.
It good to see Honor moving swiftly with the promised Oreo update for several of its devices. We hope they stick to their promise and users get to enjoy the new software sooner than later.
