The OnePlus 5T was launched back in November last year. It saw strong launch day sales – in fact too strong to break the company’s launch day sales record in just 6 hours, becoming the fastest selling OnePlus phone in the process.
Sadly, there has been no official information all this while regarding the total number of OnePlus 5T units sold by the company. However, that changes now, as a OnePlus forum moderator has given at-least some details on that front.
Replying to a user query, the moderator in question revealed recently that a total of 1,342,798 students are using the handset. Which means OnePlus has sold at-least close to 1.35 million 5T units so far. A couple of other related figures were also revealed. Following is the complete statement:
According to the latest data (Yesterday at 5 pm) 1,342,798 students, of which: 67.2% are university students. Regarding gender, 59.3% are males
Agreed, that still doesn’t provide any confirmation on the total number of 5T units sold by OnePlus so far. However, given that youngsters constitute a sizeable chunk of the company’s customers, you can at-least make a rough (but educated) guess on the total 5T sales figure based on that.
