So last evening, me and my girls had gone to dine out, and like most of us often do, we clicked some pictures too. After all that’s our memory bank, ain’t it? Anyway, this morning, while I was sharing those images with my friends through iMessage, the app just froze one me. Yeah, it just did.

Initially I thought that it might be a temporary glitch, so I tried resending the pictures, but yet again iMessage became unresponsive, like without me doing anything crazy. So back in office, I thought of digging in deep, and found out that Apple’s default messaging app has gone buggy again. The app randomly freezes, sometimes while sending the very first image, and sometimes after sending multiple images.

Lemme share with you a video, where you can clearly see that the app hangs 0:19 seconds onwards:

Note: The unit in the video is iPhone 6s Plus

Just to let you know, I can pretty much confirm that the aforementioned iMessage glitch has popped up after upgrading to the latest iOS 11.2.2 (which I did a couple of days back), as there was no such issue with the earlier iOS verion.

It’s also worth mentioning that the problem occurs irrespective of whether the images are sent to a phone number or email address, as in both cases iMessage ends up freezing. To add up, I can confirm the same problem on iPad (running iOS 11.2.2) as well. So this is more or less an iOS 11.2.2 triggered bug.

All I can say is a new day, and a new broken functionality of iOS has caught our sight. Turns out, issues plaguing Apple software/devices are in no mood to bid adieu.

Meanwhile, all you iPhone/iPad users out there, check if iMessage is freezing on your device as well, and don’t forget to share your observations with us in the comments section below.

Oh, and yes, some of the photographs you see here are clicked by me. Overall, I am enjoying whatever I am doing, and hoping you’ll also feel the same reading all my articles.
