Recently, someone took to the official Google help forum to bring it to the company’s notice that they were unable to change the search bar’s language in the Google app. Despite the issue being put across by a single user, Google not only quickly acknowledged, but has also fixed the problem.

Google employee Andy B (who is also the Community Manager at Google Search and Assistant Help Forum) updated today on the concerned thread that:

This issue should now be fixed for all users

To give you some details, the user who highlighted the problem said that in spite of setting the search bar language in Google App (version 7.17.25.21.arm64) to Polish, the search results continued to showed up in the English language.

Here’s how they explained the issue:

Soon after being reported, the problem in question was acknowledged by a Google employee (Andy B), who said that the matter is being looked into.

The appropriate teams are currently investigating the issue and we hope to have a fix in place shortly

Following is Andy’s complete post:

Andy’s comment while acknowledging the glitch promised to deliver a fix soon. And as already mentioned above, staying true to its words, the company has now called the issue fixed. As Google isn’t asking users to update their Google app, it’s likely that the change is on the server side, and should automatically reflect on users’ side.
