Bringing the best out of technology to meet the evolving user needs is the prime mantra of tech industry, and consumer electronics company Casio seems to be no exception. With smartphones becoming an inseparable part of peoples’ lifestyles, the concept of photography has completely changed over past few years – yeah, we’re talking about selfies here. Catching the nerve of the current generation, Casio has come out with a new camera in its TR series, dubbed TR-Mini.

The company’s TR series of cameras is built with focus on selfies, targeting youngsters. With it’s latest product – TR-Mini (TR-M11) – the company is specifically eyeing female users, as they say:

By offering the Handy Beauty Studio as a personal tool, Casio supports all women who have made selfies a part of their daily lives

The design of TR-M11 allows you to easily carry it with you wherever you go, and to take selfies as you envision them at any time

The camera looks like a makeup compact, which is one of the device’s selling points. It definitely looks cool and trendy, and the compactness makes it easy for females to carry the product around.

Getting to the specifications, this 12 megapixel camera has a 21mm lens, which captures square shots of 8 megapixel. It has a wide-angle perspective which, the company claims, offers a face-slimming effect. The camera’s lens is surrounded by a ring flash with eight LED flash lights, and a sub-LED to offer a light effect similar to the one they generate in a photo studio.

The sub-LED below acts as an add-on to control the amount of shadow while clicking selfies. So, dark pictures are out of question.

While the upper inner-half of the flip device houses the lens and flash, the other side has a square touchscreen featuring gesture-based UI.

The company says that with TR-Mini

it’s easy to take photos intended for social media, and photos can be posted right away

The shots you take can be transferred to your phone using Bluetooth.

From playing with illumination and offering different modes (like fresh, sculpt, slim, shadow) to customizable makeup options (like skin tone, brightness, mole, or dark circle remover), this little circular compact camera does it all.
