Observing color change in Google Photos’ backups? App might be culprit
Did you ever bother comparing images stored at Google Photos to the original ones? Reason being, automatic color change of the backed up images is being reported lately.
The issue was first reported in May, 2016, when some users put forward that the app changed the original colors of stored photos to more saturated ones. One can easily point out the difference by looking at the following screenshots (shared by users):
This automatically manipulating functionality may not bother all, but a section of users like professional photographers might take Google to task on this. One important point worth noting here is that this problem – as a Photos expert puts it – may be only with those images “that had some treatment before uploading.”
